By now most of you have heard that Seagate has issues with several of their newer Barracuda models. They released a firmware fix for the problem, but what they didn’t tell you is, the firmware fix only works if the hard drive is seen by the BIOS. We have been getting a lot of calls with people that have Seagate hard drive and they can’t get the fix to work. The problem is, you can’t apply the fix unless the hard drive is seen by Windows or depending upon your motherboard, the Basic Input Output System.
Now all hard drives fail and these disks from Seagate are no worse than any other drive, they just ran into some bad luck in manufacturing. With their purchase of Maxtor, Seagate hard drive recovery will also entail Diamondmax data recovery. If you need Seagate hard drive data recovery call 727-345-9665.
